I wish you all a peaceful 2019 with all you could hope for.
My Activities
I am a textile artist living in Somerset, South West England. I love everything to do with fabric, threads, yarn and mixed media. I'm a member of the newly formed TextileSet, a group of enthusiastic stitchers from Dorset & Somerset, the online group Near & Far, West Country Embroiderers and Quirky Quilters.
I love the county of Somerset and enjoy walking my dog, Indie. I travel with her around England and France at every opportunity and we both have fun in our 'cottage garden'

More Travel than Blogging - Part Four
To finish off this series and the year I have some photos from my last two trips; a long weekend travelling through South Wales, Hereford, Worcestershire and Shropshire and finally a week in Yorkshire with my friend for a sewing sabbatical and a visit to the Knit & Stitch Show at Harrogate.
I wish you all a peaceful 2019 with all you could hope for.

More Travel than Blogging - Part Three
France! How I love this country - the beautiful, dynamic countryside, majestic rivers and gorges and the historic villages, towns and buildings. This year I made the trip with my family and dog; the only downside was that I was persuaded to go in the Channel Tunnel - never again, I'm claustrophobic and the journey really made feel bad, and worst of all, I had to do it alone on the way home - fortunately there was a very kind assistant on board who could sense my distress and he came to talk to me during the crossing. My journey took me across 2500 miles with stops in the Loire region, the beautiful, magical Dordogne, the beach area of Languedoc Rousillon, the Jura and finally Luxembourg - where it was just myself and the dog. I'm sharing some of the views here:

More Travel than Blogging - Part Two
My next visit was to celebrate my sister's 60th birthday and there was a family gathering in north Devon in June.
Sadly this time my little dog wasn't able to join me, so I had a long journey either side of the day because I didn't stay overnight - but the views and sunshine were well worth the time spent in the car.
